I have missed my teaching and students very much this year, while I have been at Manchester Metropolitan University studying MA Textiles.
It’s been an awesome experience and my investigations have covered natural dyeing and Nuno felt – such a great combination that I will share with you all over the coming months. I can feel a few more courses evolving!
The MA Textiles program is design based and I have been looking at the work of contemporary felters – one of my favourites being Claudi Jonstra whose large wall installations are utterly compelling.

Molly – I see that you have extended some finishing touches in your sculpture classes. Great! I have spread news of fall class offerings to felters in my area. In another month I am going to test my hand and see if it will do a smaller sculpture of a totally different nature (not a dancer). Your class was fantastic. the best I have ever had! thanks so much.
