Natural dyes with good light fastness properties.

I have used a variety of long wool fibres – Blue Faced Leicester, Leicester long wool, Wensleydale on a base of Perendale and Merino. Dyed silk fibres and fabrics for extra lustre and texture.

I absolutely love the soft colours. Of course there are light fastness considerations hence I have chosen dyes with a good track record and have been experimenting with a UV protective fabric spray. I am planning a trial of naturally dyed fibres on a south facing window sill over three and six months.
